Jacob had his first dip in the pool today. He had a blast. I think he is going to be a fish pretty soon. He acted like it did not even phase him that he was in the water. Here are a few pics.

2nd tooth...

This afternoon I put my finger back in Jacob's mouth and felt the second bottom tooth peeking out. Its funny so I have to tell everyone....I emailed Dave at work when I felt the first tooth and he called me right away and said, "GOOD NEWS about the tooth. Does this mean that we can start feeding him real food now?" hahahaha I had to then tell him that he has only mastered eating rice cereal so far and it will be a while before fried chicken or hot dogs will be in the diet. Funny Funny Man that he is! So YAY for the second tooth coming out!!!

5k with the family...

Tonight Jacob, Dave, Amy and I ran/ walked a 5k here onbase called "Hot Summer nights". It was nice and breezy out. It started at 7pm so Jacob was ready for bed when we left. He slept the whole time and woke up when we were about to finish. He was a trooper for his first 5k. Me and my friend Amy came in at about 42 mins and Dave finished at about 20 mins. Overall a good day!

Jacob's 1st Tooth...

Today I stuck my finger in Jacob's mouth and was shocked to feel a jagged egde of one of his bottom teeth. In the picture its hard to see but it is his bottom right tooth. My boy is growing too fast! He is 4 months old and has a tooth coming in YAY!

I took the second picture of Jacob at about midnight one night cause I could hear him sucking on something through my monitor and walked in there and this is what I found.

4 month check up...

Today, Jacob went for his 4 month check up and actually has to wait until the 22nd to get his 4 month shots thank goodness! Here are his new measurements:

Weight: 16 pounds

Length: 24 inches

Right now he is jumping in his jumperoo watching Sponge Bob. He is giggling and smiling like crazy. I am happy to see him like that rather than running a fever and being fussy from shots. :)

Here is a photo of his watching is Baby Einsten video yesterday. He loves it. Thanks Aunt P!

Daddy and Jacob time...

Jacob is having a great time with his daddy since he is finally home from Russia. They have been going for tons of walks and giving mommy some much needed alone time.

Jacob's first cereal...

Tonight I decided to give Jacob some rice cereal for dinner. I wanted to wait until his Daddy got home so that he could see him eat too. At first I don't think he knew what to do with it when it was in his mouth but gradually got the hang of it. He will be 4 months so soon. My boy is growing up :( Here are some photos and video from dinner.

The day full of Firsts...

Today was a day of many firsts for Jacob. We started out with Jacob's first train ride in Japan. We were on our way to the free zoo in Yokohama. Jacob loved the train and loved staring at people. He gets that from mommy. haha then after getting off the train we hiked about a mile all UP HILL. I almost died cause I was pushing the stroller and it was sooooo humid and hot! We finally get there and Jacob went to his first zoo. He was sleeping when I got there and half way threw the zoo. Poor guy must have been tuckered out from all the hill walking. lol We saw tiger, Lions and bears, Oh my! And Giraffes, a poor Camel, monkeys, two fox, birds and more. It was so cool for a free zoo. Then on the way home Jacob got his first bug bite on him foot. I almost freaked out. I know stupid, but I was freaking out cause we were in Japanland and I was scared he was going to have a reaction and i did not know where to take him. Guess that is what a cell phone is for. The police number is easy to remember cause its almost like the american one. Here its 119. But little stinker turned out to be fine. He had a busy day and was sleeping again by the time we got home. He said that he wants to go back with his daddy but daddy has to push his butt up the hills this time. Here are the pics from today.
