Family and Friends day cruise....

This past Saturday Dave's ship had a family and friends day cruise. Aboard the USS Stethem, we had the most perfect day for a cruise out in Tokyo bay. Since there is not family here to invite out I decided to invite my Japanese friend Kayoko to come along. She was so excited to come with us. Her dad was a Captain in the Japanese navy and is now retired. We had a great time letting Dave show us around the ship that he calls home. We started off with breakfast at 7am. I was the only one that ate. I had pancakes, ham and a hash brown. I was starving by the time I got to the ship. Kayoko was afraid to eat case she was scared that she would get sick from the motion of the seas. Then lunch was a cookout on the flight deck of the ship. This was pretty yummy! Burgers, hot dogs, ribs, mac and cheese, beans, chips, and pasta salad. Oh and Cookies, LOTS of cookies! We cruised past Yokohama and Tokyo and then turned around and went back past the base and out of the bay. There we were able to get up to full speed. Man, that ship can boogie! We had an overcast day all day and even got chilly later in the evening on our way back in to port. Dave was pretty happy to get off the ship due to him just getting back from a three week deployment the day before. Overall we had such a great time and got to experience what Dave's day must be like for weeks at a time. Here are some pictures of our cruise, little kids dressing up as fire fighters and air traffic controllers, playing with guns, the city of Yokohama from a distance and the newest member the USS George Washington the first nuclear air craft carrier here in Yokosuka. The people here are not too happy with it being here.

Saipan....

Life has been busy the past couple of months. Posted are some photos from Saipan. It isn't the smallest island I have visited but almost. Tons of historic sights to see, but not much of a night life. The snorkeling was also great. Enjoy!

Sick of being sick....

Today I am 15 weeks pregnant and just now starting to feel somewhat better during the day. I have to say that I give working mothers much credit with being able to do both at the same time. Ugh, I just don't see how it is possible! I had days where if I lifted my head I would get sick and days were I felt good in the am and by the time I got out of the shower I was so nauseated and was not able to put on makeup or do my hair much less get dressed. This baby has done a number on me so far. I have the worst acne on my face and feel like I am in high school again. I have to also add that the earthquakes are not helpful for your equilibrium or for a turning stomach. Trash still stinks and people having cook-outs outside stinks. I hate the smell of charcoal right now!!! I can say that the weather is getting much cooler and I feel like if I were to venture outside the doors of my home that I could make it with out getting sweaty and nauseated over the heat. lol
I have been told to update my site and I know it has been a long time. Sorry for that! I have been told to post new pictures but figured that no one would want to see what I have been staring at for the past 9-10weeks (the toilet). Since I am feeling somewhat better I will be able to get out and see more of Japan for you guys! An Dave can no longer ask the much repeated question, "Why are you feeling so bad?" ( I'm just making a baby today! sorry ) (stupid!)

He comes home soon and I will be going on a family cruise aboard his ship. Man sounds like fun huh? I'll let you all know how that goes over. Hmm, sea sickness and morning sickness, sounds like a match made in heaven. I have my Japanese friend, Kayoko coming with me on the cruise and she is super excited.

Important date: the ultrasound date to fine out the sex of our baby is October 27Th and I will be 20 weeks, half way!!!. YAY can't wait. Dave would rather not find out but he lost on this one. I have to cause its in my body and I just have to be prepared. Poor Dave!

Names: thus far if it is a girl we like the name Abbie Claire and for a boy, Jacob Scott.

Just an FYI to all the family, When Dave comes home he will not be here for long so show you love and call him. He is going to be lost with out his PlayStation when he gets home. Oh yeah Dave....I got rid of the play station! hahaha! No more!!!!! Now he will be able to focus on the more important things in life. Anyone else agree?

Hope everyone is doing well!
